Our next full moon gathering will be Wednesday October 28, at 7.00 - 8.30 PM
The moon will pass through the astrological sign of Taurus and governs the large intestines, as well as the neck and throat.
The large intestines are responsible for elimination and getting rid of toxins. Yogic breathing/long deep breathing, when you inhale with your nose all the way into your belly until it expands like a ballon, and there, hold the breath for a moment, then slowly bring the breath back up and exhale through the nose. This breathing supports the large intestines job of house cleaning and clarity of mind.
Octobers full moon challenges us to be steady without being stubborn. To be consistent but not rigid.
Yogi Bhajan tells us this about the moon phases:
"At the new moon you are at the lowest. At the full moon your glandular system is at the highest. On the eleventh day of the moon you are in balance. In twilight. So if on these three days in the month you can fast on lemon and water it will help you out. If you feel very cold, you can add ginger to it."
