Healing Ourselves and Our World
A Full Moon Meditation Gathering
Each Full Moon we gather and capture the brightness of the moon to illuminate our intentions of healing our world and ourselves.
We look at the current astrological and seasonal energies to inform us how we can better align ourselves with their natural rhythms.
The ancient technologies of Kundalini Yoga, which we will practice, will guide us inward where we will connect and activate our innate truth and healing capacities.
We will practice some breathing and movement techniques.
There are 12 astrological signs, and the Moon spends roughly 2 1/2 days in each sign and takes 28 days to circumnavigate the zodiac.
Each astrological sign has a different personality and energy, and together, they influence our daily thoughts, moods and activities.
Different cultures named each months' Full Moon and ascribed specific meanings to the varied monthly and reoccurring seasonal themes.
The Chinese, Celtic, Old English, and New Guinea cultures, plus the Native American Tribes were amongst the cultures who used Full Moon names.
June is strawberry-picking season and the North American Algonquin tribe named this moon Strawberry Moon. The European christened their June moon - Rose Moon.
