"The art of healing, the art of ecstasy, the art of God-consciousness has millions of names in mystic terms. It has to do with rhythm and reality. When the body is in rhythm, there is ease. When the body, or any part of the body goes out of rhythm, there is dis-ease."
- Yogi Bhajan
With extremes in weather, the zenith of yearly activities, the shifting of seasons and the flow of abundance, we are asked to balance ourselves and practice self-care and compassion.
Astrologer Dana Gerhardt tells us that the Cancer-Capricorn polarity of this moon cycle specifically focuses attention on the balance and integration of your inner and outer lives.
She invites us to ask ourselves these potent questions.
Do I feel nurtured and fulfilled by my work?
Do I have the root system/home base I need to support me in pursuing my goals?
Does the weight of the past – what I inherited from my family and ancestors, old emotional trauma, etc. – hold me back from going after what I really want?
When we, whether on a personal or collective level, become unbalanced or loose touch with nature and its rhythms, dis-ease creeps into our hearts, minds and bodies and steels our joy and health.
Healing Ourselves and Our World
A Monthly Full Moon Meditation Gathering
We gather and capture the brightness of the moon to illuminate our intentions of healing our world, our communities and ourselves.
We look at the current astrological and seasonal energies to inform us how we can better align ourselves with their natural rhythms.
The ancient technologies of Kundalini Yoga, which we will practice, will guide us inward where we will connect and activate our innate truth and healing capacities.
We will practice some breathing and movement techniques and celebrate life.
No experience is necessary.
Capricorn is considered an earth sign and the earths energy now is extra potent.
Utilize it by being in nature, gardening, hiking or walking the dog.
Friends, my life at the moment is ueber busy and I feel the heat of the challenge to balance and integrate the inner and outer landscapes and also, to heed the call to play, along with the duty to serve and work.
Yogi Bhajan tells us to "Keep Up and we will be Kept Up."
Keeping up with my daily practice no matter what, even if sometimes it has to be short and take the back seat to life's demands, is keeping the trajectory to a happy, healthy and holy life. This is the beauty and promise of Kundalini Yoga, and I love sharing it with you.
Take a deep breath, and then another one and let it carry you into your balanced Self.
