Dear Friends and Students,
Boy, do I feel the energies of this Full Moon.
The first two weeks of December, I had company from overseas and enjoyed playing hostess
sharing our beautiful state of North Carolina and 'my' new home town of Winston-Salem. The weather was palmy and my company from Germany took advantage with sun bathing and eating outside as much as possible.
Tomorrow, I will be off to Los Angeles to spend the holidays with my daughter and the two grand- cats.
With all this seasonal busyness, I had to forgo our monthly Full Moon Circle, which would have been today. However, here are some helpful hints you might find helpful as they will be valid for up to three days after the Full Moon which falls on December 25th.
Sweetness of Life
This Ful Moon is ruled by the astrological sign of Cancer. My teacher Gurumarka Singh Khalsa tells us that this moon governs the spleen-pancreas meridian. The spleen is central in the production of blood and extraction of prana. It sends the essence to the lungs and heart, plus distributes nutrients through the blood to every cell. The spleen is in charge of feeling centered. To be okay with who we are and were we are on this planet.
The spleen is known as the Mother Organ of the physical body and relates to the earth element. the sweetness of life is need to feel nourished, grounded and balanced in life.
Follow these suggestions to increase the sweetness of life.
Things to Avoid or Reduce
To promote the feeling of nurturing oneself, eat naturally sweet foods. All yellow/orange fruits and vegetables are great, especially ripe bananas for they are an excellent source to balance this meridian.
Safe the Date
Our next Healing Full Moon Gathering will be
January 22, 2016 @ 7.00PM - 8.30PM
May you find rest and silence this season, and may many Blessings of Peace, Health and Love weave their ways into the fabric of your life this coming New Year.
