In this class we tune in to the energies of the given day, and exercise our body, mind and spirit.
We begin with a sequence of postures, breath and mantras, called Kriya. This is followed by deep relaxation and a meditation.
Yogi Bhajan says that the one who does Sadhana builds a powerful personality and will conquer anything. It is the ultimate approach to change.
Sadhana means a daily spiritual practice and is a self-discipline that allows one to express the Infinite within one's self.
Meditating is like mental flossing, with which we are clearing the subconscious of fears. This prepares us to meet our day with awareness and a peaceful mind.
Ideally, Sadhana is practiced for two-and-a-half hours before sunrise, but Yogi Bhajan assures us that it is okay for us to build slowly and consistently, and at a pace which we can maintain. This way, we can grow a practice successfully and enjoy it. From there we will naturally want to extend our efforts to devote to our spiritual practice.
Each day of the week has its own energy. In astrology this is symbolized by the association of each day with a planet.
